Ashley

With her unique design style, Ashley Kersh has emerged as a refreshing new talent in the fine jewelry industry. Ashley’s style fuses her Southern classical influences and New York City daily life with her experience in Colombia, where she embraced the Latin culture, vibrancy, and of course, the use of the lustrous Colombian emerald.

Southern born and bred, Ashley grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. Determined to move to New York City after college, she found her calling while working as the right hand to a high end jewelry designer in NYC. Ashley worked building a name and a reputation for the brand amongst affluent consumers and industry insiders. After four years working in New York City, Ashley began forming her unique sense of design style that she knew needed to be set in motion.

The next chapter of her life brought her to Bogota, Colombia where her jewelry design style was further influenced, and where she was able to hone her knowledge of Colombian emeralds. Venturing where very few women have before, Ashley made her mark in the elusive emerald market that was heavily male-dominated. Anyone who spends time in the Colombian emerald markets and mines knows there is only one blue eyed, curly blonde haired American girl: Ashley Kersh.

In 2011, Ashley Kersh launched her New York City based company creating one-of-a- kind pieces for private clients. Ashley’s socially-responsible custom creations include rare and fine stones sourced globally and paired with world-renowned craftsmanship. Implementing different precious metals and finishes, Ashley’s designs harness elements such as diamond slices, emeralds, and many others. Because Ashley believes in the versatility of fine jewelry, she designs with the idea that your favorite fine jewelry pieces do not need to be saved for special occasions anymore. With this mantra in mind, Ashley Kersh designs allow a ring to transform into a brooch or a pendant. Look for Ashley’s work in recent and upcoming media issues.

Most of my rings can be transformed to a brooch or a pendant. For example, I like to wear the emerald flower ring some days as a pendant with a tank top and jeans to brunch and then pin it in my hair for a black tie event on the same day. Fine jewelry is not only for special occasions anymore; it’s for everyday use as well.
